Fairtrade Virgin Coconut Oil Organic

The oil is solid in the jar. Is that normal?

Yes. Kazidomi virgin coconut oil sets naturally below roughly twenty-four degrees and turns liquid above it. The change of state alters neither the quality nor the taste. Simply spoon out what you need, or stand the jar for a few minutes near a gentle source of warmth.

Coconut oil or olive oil for cooking?

Kazidomi virgin coconut oil copes better with high temperatures: frying pan, oven, deep frying. Olive oil suits gentle cooking and raw dressings. The coconut does bring a distinctive scented note that carries through to the plate, which is why it belongs above all in curries, stir-fries and baking.

Can I use this coconut oil on skin and hair?

Yes, the 500 ml Kazidomi jar serves both purposes, kitchen and care, as a mask before shampooing or on the ends of the hair for instance. It holds nothing but organic coconut, with no fragrance and no preservative. Take it out with a clean, dry spoon so the rest of the jar stays sound.

What is in the jar and where does it come from?

One hundred per cent coconut from organic farming, with no additive at all. The coconut range at Kazidomi is Fairtrade certified and reaches the shelf through a French company working with smallholders in Sri Lanka. The virgin process is mechanical, which is what keeps the coconut aroma in the jar.

How do I store virgin coconut oil?

The Kazidomi jar keeps at room temperature, closed properly, away from light. A fridge adds nothing and makes the oil very hard to spoon out. The texture moving between opaque white and translucent simply follows the temperature of the room and signals nothing wrong with the product.
