In a carafe or a water bottle: up to 15 beads per litre, left to act for 30 minutes before drinking the water. In a kettle or a coffee maker: up to 25 beads per litre, left permanently in the tank. In a dishwasher: up to 30 beads in a fabric bag, placed in the cutlery basket. In a washing machine: up to 40 beads in a fabric bag, dropped into the drum. In the vegetable drawer: up to 15 beads to keep fruit and vegetables firm for longer. In a toilet cistern: up to 30 beads per 10 litres. Above 15 beads, several bags are needed.

How are they used in a carafe?

Rinse the pearls under clean water, then drop them into the bottom of the carafe or bottle and fill it with water over them. They stay in permanently and are simply left in place when refilling. Kazidomi pearls also go into a washing machine drum or a rinsing bowl.

What is the difference from a filter cartridge?

A cartridge is a consumable: it holds back particles, clogs up and is replaced on a set date. Kazidomi ceramic pearls filter nothing and are not thrown out after a month: they sit at the bottom of the container, get rinsed and are reused. The bag holds fifteen, so 25 g.

How do I look after them?

Rinse them under clean water from time to time, rubbing them by hand or with a soft brush, without soap or detergent, which would leave a residue. Let them air dry before putting them back in the carafe. Kazidomi pearls take hot water, but not the dishwasher.

How long do they last?

There is nothing to replace on a schedule: fired ceramic does not dissolve and does not wear down in use. Replace a Kazidomi pearl only if it cracks, crumbles or breaks. The cotton pouch supplied, closed with a drawstring, is there to store them or group them in the container.

What are the ceramic pearls made of?

A clay fermented with EM micro-organisms, then fired at high temperature, at 1200°C, which is what gives it its hardness and its grey colour. The pearls Kazidomi offers are made in Japan. The bag holds fifteen pieces for a total weight of 25 g, delivered in a cotton pouch.
