How much mint is in this blend?

Forty per cent spearmint to 60% Chinese green tea, both from organic farming. That high proportion gives a distinctly minty cup, in the spirit of a traditional mint tea. Kazidomi has the blend put together in France, in a 100 g pack measured out by the spoon.

How is it made, hot or iced?

One teaspoon to 200 ml of water at 75-80°C, brewed for two to three minutes. For an iced version, double the quantity of leaves, brew it the same way, then pour it over ice cubes. Kazidomi mint tea is drunk plain or very lightly sweetened, according to habit.

Mint green tea or a plant infusion in the evening?

The Kazidomi mint blend contains green tea, and therefore caffeine, which makes it a daytime drink. An infusion made only of plants, such as the chamomile and ashwagandha one, contains none and is better suited to a cup at the end of the evening.

Can the leaves be brewed twice?

Yes, a second brew works within the same day, with water at the same temperature and a minute longer. The cup is lighter then: the mint dominates and the Kazidomi green tea comes through less. Beyond that the leaves have little left to give and the taste falls flat.

How is an opened pack kept?

Closed firmly, somewhere dry, out of the light and away from heat. The dried mint in the Kazidomi blend loses its scent if the pack stays open. An opaque airtight tin is ideal. Do not keep it next to coffee or spices, whose smells it would readily take up.
