Tamari brings an umami taste, a dark colour and a fermented edge that salt alone does not give. Kazidomi Vrac roasted salted cashews are more neutral, with Guérande salt at the surface. Tamari contains soya, which matters for anyone allergic to it or avoiding it.

Does this product suit a gluten-free diet?

Tamari is a soy sauce traditionally brewed without wheat, unlike ordinary soy sauce, and the list names only water, soya and salt. That said, Kazidomi Vrac does not certify this bag gluten free: where coeliac disease is involved, check the batch label before eating them.
