Red Berry Collagen Bars (5 g collagen / bar)

Red fruit or caramel pecan: which bar suits me?

The Kazidomi red fruit bar takes its taste from freeze-dried raspberry, cranberries and acerola, with beetroot for the colour: sharp, fruity, no cocoa anywhere in it. Caramel pecan runs the other way, sweet and buttery around caramel pieces and pecans. Pick the red fruit one if chocolate-led bars tire your palate quickly.

Which nuts are in it?

Cashew, cashew purée and almond powder. No hazelnut appears in the Kazidomi red fruit bar, unlike the praline version, though that is no help to anyone reacting to cashew or almond. The recipe is gluten-free and the plant protein comes from pea and rice. Read the wrapper if a nut allergy is involved.

Why is it such a strong pink?

The colour comes from beetroot and freeze-dried raspberry, both of them real ingredients in the recipe rather than added colourings. Kazidomi uses them for taste and for shade at once. The exact pink shifts a little from batch to batch depending on the fruit harvest, which changes nothing about the bar itself.

Does it travel well?

It does. It weighs 42 g, comes wrapped individually and slips into a rucksack pocket or a desk drawer without the box. Keep it cool, dry and out of the light. The Kazidomi red fruit bar carries no chocolate coating at all, so it does not melt and mark the inside of a bag on a warm day.

How much collagen is in one bar?

Each Kazidomi red fruit bar carries 5 g of collagen peptides, which is 11.9% of a 42 g bar. The rest is date paste, pea and rice protein, freeze-dried raspberry, cashew and almond, with cranberries, beetroot and acerola behind them. The list holds no artificial sweetener and no artificial flavouring.
